Wrong.London, Milan design week 2016
Pelota, Via Palermo 12th to 18th April 2016.
Following the success of our exhibition design for Wrong For Hay's lighting collection at London Design Festival 2015 we were asked reproduce the concept for Milan Design Week. Relaunching as Wrong.London in 2016 and focusing exclusively on lighting, Sebastian Wrong's partnership with HAY continues and together the two companies presented new products alongside their growing collections in a hugely ambitious installation within Pelota on via Palermo.
One of the 10 room sets visitors could walk around was our 'Cork room'.
Once again we built a series of cork rubber volumes in elementary forms to display the various lights. About half of the stand was reused from the London exhibition and the remainder was built new to suit the requirements of the new products.
Cork rubber walls and floor added to the calm tactile atmosphere of the room and the warm quality of the surfaces when illuminated by the lights was especially beautiful.
