Beech legs and structure. Linoleum tabletop surface on birch ply with beech edging.
An interpretation of a typical kitchen/ dining table whose legs are fastened to a tabletop frame through pressed metal corner plates. In this version, the connection plate is timber rather than metal and is designed as a loose element that fits into rebates cut into the ends of the timber rails on he underside of the tabletop.
The legs are triangular in section giving an illusion of lightness and they are splayed outwards towards the corners at 10 degrees for increased stability. The tabletops have a solid beech lipping with a radius on the lower edge, and a linoleum surface which extends over the lipping to the edge of the table.
The rails can be unbolted from the underside of the tabletop and all parts dismantle and pack flat for storage and shipping.
