Cherry Wardrobe

A commission for a wardrobe within small house, to maximise clothes storage within an equally small bedroom.
The piece references traditional furniture from the era of the house, but uses contemporary construction methods and hinges & drawer runners. The wardrobe has a pair of tall central doors for longer garments, flanked by shorter outer doors that splay back to meet an adjacent sash window on one side, and the open door into the room on the other.

The drawer boxes and back panel of the wardrobe are made from Cedar of Lebanon in the hope of discouraging moths.
